如先前預期，歐盟稍早批准Qualcomm收購恩智浦半導體，而韓國公平貿易委員會也同樣批准此項交易，目前就僅剩中國地區監管機構尚未做出批准決定。

根據歐盟委員會表示，在經過一連串的調查之後，確定Qualcomm收購恩智浦半導體將不影響消費者以具競爭力價格享有新技術所帶來創新優勢，因此同意此項交易。不過，歐盟方面也要求Qualcomm一旦收購恩智浦半導體，必須繼續對外公平提供相關必要技術、專利授權。



而Qualcomm則是承諾將在未來8年內維持其晶片產品與其他競爭對手同級產品互通特性，同時也將持續對外提供原屬恩智浦半導體持有MIFARE技術專利與商標。此外，同樣屬於恩智浦半導體的標準近場通訊專利將不會由Qualcomm收購，未來將轉由第三方機構持有，並且在接下來的3年內免費對外授權使用，但部分由Qualcomm收購的非標準近場通訊專利則不會對外免費授權。

在歐盟、韓國公平貿易委員會均先後同意Qualcomm收購恩智浦半導體之下，目前僅剩中國地區監管機構尚未對此交易做批准決定，但以目前Qualcomm在中國市場投資，同時也有越來越多在地廠商與Qualcomm建立合作關係，預期中國監管機構也將同意此項交易。
